First thing I had in mind when I saw these ads was “What The Hell!”. The Picture magazine is the biggest-selling men´s magazine in Australia. The magazine has a unique combination of glamour, humour and a heavy bias toward Australian content. You can easily find titles such as “Find My G-Spot!”, “Huge Boobs”, and “I Can Be A Bit of A Pervert!” as shown below. I guess it rated for mature audience. Who doesn’t wish to spank a monkey sitting on their sofa.

The RollingStone magazine is largely regarded as the predominant music promotional force in American culture, alongside the likes of MTV. Appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone has become something of a milestone in the career of many famous artists and remains the aspiration of many up-and-coming musicians. Some artists have graced the cover many times, some of these pictures will soon become iconic. The Beatles, for example, have appeared on the cover over thirty times, either individually or as a band.
In celebrating their first year of publication in Brazil they showcased the following ads below. I don’t see any original concept in these ads, but I have to respect this magazine that Rock My World!

If you get the chance to spend some time in Buenos Aires, Argentina. You could visit this well-known bookstore, El Ateneo Grand Splendid. What makes this bookstore so special is the fact that it was installed in a luxury theatre. The theatre was build in 1919 by the empresario Max Glücksman and have a capacity of 1050 seats. Many artists have performed in his new theatre until they converted it into a cinema in 1929 and have presented the first movie ever with sound.
By the end of the twenty century, for commercial purposes, the theatre was partially renovated into a book and music shop. The seats were removed but the painted ceiling, ornate carvings, crimson stage curtains, auditorium lighting and many architectural details remained. We can still feel the atmosphere of the grand theatre after all. The bookstore have only a small selection of English books. I guess you are not the kind of customer they are looking for. If the cashier look at you strangely, you will know why.
