Beautiful ad campaigns have always catch my attention. With almost everything first impression is what draw people in, so same goes with ads. It should seduce our eyes at the first look. Here’s an ad campaign by Animax that made my head turned to have a closer look due to its attractive visual art…mostly because of the color red and the Japanese background.
What is Animax? It’s a Japanese anime satellite television network, dedicated to broadcasting anime programming. Established on May 20, 1998 by Sony, Animax Broadcast Japan Inc. has been acknowledged as the largest 24-hour anime-only network in the world. Its viewer reach has been quoted as ’spanning over 41 million homes across 47 countries and 17 languages’.
The ad campaign below is to announce the release of the two greatest Japanese anime cartoons, Bleach and Evangelion, on the Animax Channel. I’m not a big fan of Japanese anime cartoons but I do however know what is Dragon Balls and Sailor Moon.. Ok I’m out.

Stop Motion: A Short Love Story
Written on August 27, 2008 by KiwiPulse · Posted in Art, Video · 8 Comments
I came across a video that truly amaze me by its creativity, both in quality and in execution. It’s a touching love story created by animation director, Carlos Lascano. This is not only a video about a love story but also about the director himself.
Carlos is indeed a successful multi-faceted artist with talents in painting, illustration and comics. Born in 1973, I can say he was born with a paint brush in his hand. His path in life really inspired me and the way he found his vocation in this world. He has then completed Law School in 1997, but decided not to practice and to dedicate his career entirely to his art creation. He finally decided that film making was his medium of choice because it represent the coming together of the different forms of expression of his artistic universe. In the same year he founded his own production company Pandemonium, a visual group which produced publicity for television.
That’s what I call literary ambition! His incursions into the art world speaks for itself. He has filmed video clips, commercial ads, animations, documentaries and featured films. His latest work as the animation director for the short film, The Legend of the Scarecrow, won more than 20 awards worldwide and was preselected for the Oscars in 2005.
You can visit his website at carloslascano.com. I suggest you to watch the animation videos under gallery. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. ![]()

As promised here are the doodles of the Google Olympic Logo from August 15 to 19. You have probably noticed by now that the theme Dennis Hwang has chosen was the Chinese Zodiac animals; buffalo, dog, dragon, horse, monkey, pig, rabbit, mice, rooster, sheep, snake, and tiger.
Let’s have some fun with the Chinese Zodiac animal signs. Below is a brief description about each animal sign. Which animal sign are you?
You are imaginative, charming, and truly generous to the person you love. However, you have a tendency to be quick-tempered and overly critical. You are also inclined to be somewhat of an opportunist. Born under this sign, you should be happy in sales or as a writer, critic, or publicist.
