The Bookbinding is the process of physically assembling a book from a number of folded or unfolded sheets of paper or other material. The Chinese was the first to practice this art with their bamboo book. Can you imagine carrying all those bamboo books and walk all over the China Wall. The craft of bookbinding is originated in India, they used the leaves that they dried and rubbed with ink. Which would form a stain in the wound.

There is various techniques that people use today. I have visited recently a blog that I find very interesting about the bookbinding, Much of a muchness. The author of this blog will show you her creativity by making sketch book. I suggest you to visit this blog, if you are looking to have a book restored/repaired or simply looking for a great gift ideas. I added some pictures of her works, I hope you will enjoy as much as I do!

I agree with most of the other commenters- this is an interesting and somewhat unusual blog. It seems like a kind of hybrid between a photo blog and a content-based blog. I wonder how you manage to obtain all of these pictures, however. For me, finding appropriate images to put in my posts has been one of the most time-consuming parts of blogging, sometimes taking up more of my time than actually writing the content.

In my own experience. I have always wanted to have pictures on my blog. One thing that I still do! Yes it’s hard to get pictures, most of the time I send a mail to the blog’s author to have the authorization for the pictures. If you don’t want to wait for the authorization, try to get where is free. Such as Flickr with the creative common copyright.

Yes, I suppose that I could email the individual blog owners, although that seems like somewhat of a hassle to go through for each image, plus the waiting time for the other blog owner to respond. I have already bookmarked a few of those free stock photo sites, and sometimes I can find pictures with these, but it’s usually still very frustrating because most of these places have pictures for broad, general categories but not for specific topics or keywords, which is usually what I need. However, I have never tried Flickr before, so perhaps they will have a larger collection of images than what I have encountered so far. Thanks for the tips.

[...] December 20, 2007 My lovely blogging friend, Kiwipulse, sent me this video in her comment yesterday. I enjoyed it so much I thought it deserved a wider circulation, so I am posting it here. Kiwipulse’s blog is always full of amazing things, it must take so much work to find all the weird and wonderful things she writes about. In fact, she wrote my first ever review and featured a lot of my books when I was first starting out (you can read that here). [...]
