Blogging 101: Great Videos For Startup Bloggers

Written on January 11, 2008 by KiwiPulse - Posted in Various

Do you know that hundreds of new blogs are launched each week, without any goals. It might be just purely popularity that people started blogs. The birth of blogs started in 1996 where people mainly used it for online diaries. I don’t think there is anything wrong with talking about your personal life and sharing your daily life stories with friends and family. As this dynamic medium evolved in the 21st century it has become a mechanism for people to share all kinds of news such as sports, business, celebrity, etc. So the real question today is: Why do you want to start blogging? Do you want to start it as a hobby or for the money i.e. Google Adsense?

I have found 5 great videos on an article from Spoongraphics. These videos will answer almost all of the questions that run through the mind of someone looking to create a blog for the first time. I hope these free courses will help you to understand more about blogging. Enjoy!

I love videos, kinda like a picture says a thousand words, videos say it and show it.

The first video, what is a blog, is very clear and easy to follow.

Avoiding duplicate content is always on my mind but I am not always sure what to do. I am only starting to understand how to modify the wordpress php files and I tend to get a few too many plugins going which can add to the problem.

I have used the ‘more’ feature in Wordpress but was never really comfortable making readers click to continue. But if it will help with duplicate content I may have to start doing that again.

I am going to continue through the videos, checking out what Matt has to say now.

Thanks for the great list of helpful videos. I have a few friends that are just starting an online business and these will definitely help them.
