Movie: 10,000 B.C. Discover The Dark Ages

March 7, 2008 – 12:05 am | Written by KiwiPulse

10,000 B.C will be one of the most promising movies in theaters this week. From the director that brings us Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow, Roland Emmerich is once again using special effects to bring us back to discover the Dark Ages.

The movie is about a young hunter, D’Leh (played by Steven Strait) who is passionately in love with the beautiful Evolet (Camilla Belle). But one day, a band of mysterious warlords raid his village and kidnap his beloved Evolet. D’Led and his young inexperienced warriors must journey to the unkown dark lands to recuse Evolet. Driven by destiny, the unlikely warriors must battle prehistoric predators while braving the harshest elements; they come face-to-face with saber-toothed cats, woolly mammoths, phorusrhacids and ground sloths. Their ultimate fate at the end of the journey was to discover a lost civilization where great pyramids reach into the skies. Here at this astonishing empire they will join force to fight against the evil god who has brutally enslaved their people. It is also here that D’Leh realize that it was his destiny to save all of civilization.

Be sure to catch the movie which will be released to theaters tomorrow, March 07 2008. This movie “invites you to the journey back to a time of darkness to discover life, death, love, hate, good, evil, hope, betrayal, triumph, lost, power, fear and rage from the beginning of time.”

Movie Trailer: The Last Legion

August 14, 2007 – 6:31 am | Written by KiwiPulse

It seems like everything is working against this well-cast adaptation of Valerio Manfredi’s novel: the fact that the historial epic genre is all but dead, thanks to Kingdom of Heaven and Tristan + Isolde; an initial release set for January of this year, only to be released in August, a.k.a. the other month during which studios dump their supposed flops. Now that the title has been changed from The Enchanted Sword, here are suggestions for this adaptation of Valerio Manfredi’s novel: (1) endless close-ups of Aishwarya Rai; (2) brutally hot legionaries.
