Coca-Cola Zero: Real Coke Taste, Zero Sugar!
Written on April 26, 2008 by KiwiPulse - Posted in Advertising, Video
Coca Cola, the world’s largest soft drink manufacturer, have launched recently the new Coca Cola Zero. Their studies and research have shown that there are so many people who crave for the original Coca Cola taste, but don’t want the sugar. To please their customers (…and of course to cash in more revenue) the marketing plan for Coca Cola Zero has been designed to attract young men and women and the word “Zero” is to indicate that the new drink is completely sugar free. Can you also believe that they went all the way to customize the Coke Zero formulas to fit the different target market; this means that the ingredients will vary depending on the country.
Yes I have tried it myself and can confirmed that Coca Cola Zero tasted better than the old Coca Cola. They used aspartame instead of the high fructose corn syrup for sugar. Check out the funny videos below of their ad campaign using organs that can talk and taste. The brain is definitely more smarter than the one-side eye! Have you tasted the new Coca Cola Zero? Did you notice anything different? Is it better than the old Coca Cola?

Aspertame is a controversial sweetener. It is reputed to be quite dangerous for some people. Coke did this once before and fell flat on their face. They had to bring back the old coke!
I have never been a huge coke fan…I think it is good they are trying to get rid of the sugar, but it’s still not healthy, lol.

The more that people learn about aspartame in drinks like Coke Zero, the more apt they are to stay away from it. The soda industry is sensitive to this and are researching other sugar substitutes that pose less of a health risk. Saccharin and sucralose/splenda are just as dangerous (if not more).
Other countries are trying safer and more natural sugar replacements. Check them out in my blog. You might see Coke and Pepsi switching over to these in the near future!

I found the ad kinda gross too. I’m not a coke drinker, and to be honest the ad put me off wanting to try it out.
I have only tried Coke Zero in the UK but have recently seen it here in Canada.
I would say it tastes very different and maybe even go as far as saying it’s not any better than diet coke!
I found it was ok but still prefer the full sugar human rotting recipe.

Yeah, exactly that one.

Has anyone actually tried it? It tastes nothing like the original.
Coke Zero’s been around for a while in the UK - we have everything from Coke Zero to Fanta ‘Z’ which is the same concept.
I think it tastes disgusting. It’s marketed at young men who want to drink coke without having to worry about looking silly drinking diet cola just because they’re trying to be healthy.
Or something along those lines…

Cool ads. It’s good for all the weight conscious people to have a zero calorie coke. But didn’t they launch a similar kind of product in the middle named “Diet Coke”

Funny videos! I have not tried Coke Zero. I really don’t drink much soda because of the calories and sugar. But, I don’t know how I’d feel about consuming aspartame either.
I agree - it’s definitely a means of avoid the word “Diet” for vanity purposes. I think it tastes quite good, but you can be sure this is NOT better for you than normal Coca Cola. Yes the caloric intake is avoided, but it’s replaced by numerous chemicals and additives.
My vote is for classic coke and real sugar.
If they want to test something “new”, why not add rum or rye and sell it in the liquor store :)Now that Id buy.
