Even if to take into account the emissions generated during production of electricity, the sum total of emissions generated by an electric vehicle are far less than a traditional gasoline powered car. so on a balance, an EV is far better for the environment. Thermal plants pollute with coal smoke. Hardly any hydro plants are possible any more. Nuclear plants have the great danger of leaks like Chernobyl. Our grand children will be riding horses and bicycles like out great grand parents did and the world, if it survives till then, will be back to its original gentle and nice place to live in.
