The idea of using the Olympic games as advertising doesn’t surprised me much. This month everything seem to concentrate on the Olympic games. Making sure not to miss out on this chance Banco Bradesco, one of the four biggest banks in Brazil, launched an advertising campaign with the Olympics games as the theme. Internationally, Bradesco has branches in New York, Grand Cayman and Nassau. They also have financial subsidiaries and affiliations in Nassau, Luxembourg, Buenos Aires, Grand Cayman and Tokyo.

The sports metaphor of this ad campaign is quite creative. But does an Olympian need more than one skill to win?

like the financial business, to succeed you need to have a lot of skills.

6 Comments to Olympics: You Need To Have A Lot Of Skills

this approach is quite interesting as nowadays it is very important to possess an abundance of skills to win

Truth be told, an Olympian needs more than just skill. They need fitness, heart, desire and the will to win. You can give someone the latest shoes bikes or whatever, but without the rest they will lag at the end.

My friend is a professional athlete and his experience is that the effort is what gets you ahead. I dunno about the skills necessary, but the competition is tougher then ever and you got to practice and train more then the next guy. So, if you do 3 hours, he will make it 4. The other guy will raise it to 5 and so on.

The best skill you could use is persistence and focus. That wins the Olympics :)

That photo is really well done, very provoking.

Olympic athletes, all of them, need so much more than skill. I read some of their training routines, and I most definitely will not be following that regime for like one day, let alone years

Very interesting concept as far as the ads go.

I have never heard of Bradesco before, and I reside in NY.

I’d have to say the last ad is my favorite of the bunch.
