Olympus E-3: The Fastest Autofocus

What a creative and eye-catching advertising ad from Olympus to promote their E-3 in Korea. These men surely have the fastest autofocus mode when it comes to checking out the gorgeous woman! The Olympus E-3 was released in November 2007 claiming that its new 11-point biaxial cross type autofucus system is the world quickest autofocus camera. Along with its 1/8000sec shutter speed, 5fps and a 10mp sensor, this high-end gadget will retail for $1,700 . The company is truly back in the professional digital imaging arena with this digital SLR. Now, will you please excuse me for I have gotta get back to focusing on these birds flying around with my 6mp digital camera. And NO, my camera doesn’t have the fastest autofocus system!

Perhaps as a woman, I shouldn’t laugh at an ad so blatantly using the female anatomy (once again) as a sexual lure, but I think it’s permissible when the men come out of it looking so helplessly single (or should that be simple) minded;-D

Hehe, that photo can shake men’s focus quite a bit, I agree.
And Reward Rebel, these kind of worries are common in Western countries. Here in Brazil though, women LOVE it when men are looking at their most attractive areas.
They take it as admiration and confirmation, not as sexually discriminative. They feel declined when no one is looking at their breasts or butts.
It’s like connecting what is supposed to be connected and getting the most out of each day and relationship. In terms of this, Brazilians are world champions.

I’m testing to implement some widgets. Don’t worry I will remove them. What slowing down my blog is not the pictures, because they seem to load just fine!
I’ve always liked Olympus cameras. I bought a few Cannon and Sony cameras, but I prefer the pictures I took with my Olympus brand better. However, I like the style of Sony’s cameras better. At any rate, interesting pic.

Hello again… As I get older, I notice my feelings about being admired, have softened, because I fear getting so old that no-one will admire me — everything really is relative! Funny ol’ world, eh;-D

RR, I am no spring chicken either. I just enjoy commenting on others’ comments! Not to worry, being admired has nothing to do with what you look like. It is more about who you are. I can admire you no matter what you look like, if you are caring, gentle and possess a sense of humor.
Talking about camera’s, I remember when 35mm camera’s used to be popular. Now it is nearly impossible to find any. Well, in the USA and the UK anyway.
About Marcus’ comment, I think there is a fine line between good taste and what people see as exploitation. I think that the picture is comical and tasteful enough, but who is the judge? Different countries have very different customs. In Brazil that would be fine, but in many middle Eastern countries, it would not be. Also it is also difficult to tell who is being exploited. IMO, in the ad it is the men being exploited not the woman.

A very effective add in my opinion. I’m not sure what that says about me, but it is quite effective and to deny that in an attempt to sound “progressive” would be a lie on my part.
