Smoking Is The Stupidest Way To Commit Suicide
Written on October 7, 2008 by KiwiPulse - Posted in Advertising
I have been a smoker for over 10 years now. I would say that it’s the biggest mistake I have made in my life. Back in the ‘teen’ day I started smoking because I wanted to look cool and older than I was. Plus everyone around my circle of friends was smoking. Like breathing in fresh air everyday, it has became for me a natural thing to do. As time passed, I realized that life is VERY short and we should do our best to be healthy as long as we can to enjoy what life has to offer. I once heard from an elder that being healthy when you are old is priceless.
The advertising campaign below is quite harsh by calling smokers “stupid’. I don’t think that smokers have the intention to commit suicide when lighting up a cigarette. It’s more of an addiction than anything else.

i agree that no smoking is better
I too smoked for many years and gave it up when the pressure from society made me feel like a jerk every time I lit up! I strongly recommend that you do too. The benefits of quitting far outweigh the kick that a smoke gives.
I totally agree. Its the slowest death one can give. And u inflict it on your family and friends as well.
I kicked the habit after many years, and havent smoked for 13 odd years. The ad campaign is a bit blunt and direct, but I’ve seen worse. Memories of pictures of tar blackened and cancer riddled lungs from autopsies come flooding back!
I was lucky enough to never try smoking. As an adult I still have no interest in trying it even just one time.
