One of the best movie this summer got to be The Dark Knight. It has been in the top of USA Box-Office since it was released in theater, banking thus far over $394 Millions. The popularity of this movie is maybe due to the death of a young talented actor, Heath Ledger, who played the joker in the movie. All in all, it’s one of the best movie I have seen this summer!

One thing that really caught my attention in the movie was the Batmobile. This ultimate muscle car can handle the roughest roads, like the war roads in Iraq. Can you believe that two guys, Bob Dullam and Bob Causey, had the brilliant idea to make a replica of the Batmobile? The two guys are very good at making specialty items. They specialize in silicone bust, full size statues, specialty costumes, specialty cars, home theaters, movie quality costumes and movie quality cars. Building from scratch in their garages, all parts for the Batmobile are scratch built except the tires, rims, brakes and engine. For them it’s once in a lifetime project and they are not building it for sale. It looks really cool but I just wonder if it’s a bulletproof Batmobile.

If you have a special item that you always wanted but didn’t know who could build it for you? Well good news…the two Bob are now taking commission work. To see more of their homemade replica collections, you can visit their website at Dullam-Causey.com.

This could be a stupid question, but do they actually drive that around? Is it street legal? Either way, that’s pretty impressive! The Batmobile was awesome in The Dark Knight..the whole movie was.
