UAE: Emirates Palace 7 Stars Hotel

Posted in Architecture

The Emirates Palace is reputed to be the most expensive hotel ever built. The $3 billion hotel was opened in 2005 and is owned by the Abu Dhabi government. This luxury hotel is located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) city of Abu Dhabi. It has 302 rooms in Coral, Pearl and Diamond categories and 92 suites with the interior decor in gold and marble. The simplest suite is the Palace Suite. Each of them contains at least three rooms and a 61″ plasma screen TV. The room price starts at $327 per night but for a 165 sqm room with a panoramic ocean view it will go up to $1797 per night.

The seven stars hotel shows the beauty of Arabian culture. Traditional decor is used inside mostly in silver, gold, marble and glass mosaics. There are 114 domes and 200 fountains. Emirates Palace offers palatial restaurants which bring the world’s finest cuisines. Gourmet meals such as the exquisite seafood of the Sayad and magnificent view of the Gulf gives fabulous experience for the visitors. The Caviar Bar is also popular because of its world class champagne menu and caviar selections with live traditional music.

Being one of the world’s most prestigious hotels, Emirates Palace is a popular place for dignitaries and celebrities. Some of the famous people who have set foot on the Palace are Bill Clinton, Robert de Niro, Will Smith, Lawrence Fishburne, Michael Jackson, famous golf players, FIFA World Cup Champions and lately George W. Bush.

I have included a commercial video about this luxurious hotel at the bottom of this post. Check it out!

Your photographs, though of very good quality, and the video does not do justice to this magnificent hotel to which I had gone as a guest for lunch. I cannot afford to stay in this place but, it is simply beyond description. You have to see it, and stay in it to really appreciate it.

I’ve been here once, to pick up a friend! But still love the Burj Al Arab in Dubai. Love the under water restaurant. By the way Burj Al Arab is also a seven start hotel!

If you get a chance to take some pictures about this hotel, I will be glad to write a post about it. An underwater restaurant seem very interesting!

Emirates Palace is simply beautiful, but I’ve heard the service is not as good as in the Burj al-Arab.b :)
