Wordpress Plugin: CommentLuv
Posted in Various
I have recently added the famous CommentLuv plugin. Do you remember my post about using your Creativity To Promote Your Blog. Well, this plugin will help you to promote your latest post if you made comments on other blogs that are using this plugin.
By installing this plugin, you will encourage your readers to join the discussion and you will give them something back right away. The plugin will look at your default location of your RSS feed to find the latest post. You will generate more backlinks from other blogs and increase your Google PR Rank on the next Google dance!
I hope that by implementing this plugin that it will help you generate more comments on your articles. If you have installed this plugin on your blog, I would be glad to be to first to comment!
Here is the link for the download: CommentLuv’s author page. Try it out now by posting a Comment using the link or form below. :D

I love the commentluv plugin. Not only does it help me get traffic, but I usually try to check out my comments to find interesting post to read.
I love the commentluv plugin too! It is a fun way to surf around the web. You get to read a interesting post, then click on another interesting post right on the same page.

Thanks for the link and the explanation - I’d seen it mentioned but that was it. I’ve installed it myself now. :)
hi kiwipulse,
you’re right. since using the plugin for less than a month, the comments in my blog increased four fold. it will really encourage readers to leave behind comments and participate in the discussion. it’s a win-win situation for both the blog owner and the readers since the benefits are two-way.
i’ll be very pleased to hear from you in two weeks or so if this plugin will do the same for your blog. take care!
jessie’s last blog post..Is Akismet in WordPress Becoming Too Strict?
This plugin sounds interesting I will do some more investigating thanks for the article.
As I don’t use wordpress, the plug in is not for me, but I pass on the juice when people visit my sites and comment.
If you visit me and have enough courage to place a relevant comment of course the link will be loved by Google et al. It is only fair.
Stop spammers, not Bloggers.
I can also add to the value of the plugin. Many new commenters have been seen on my site since installing the CommentLuv plugin a few weeks ago.
ShadowKnight’s last blog post..Preparing for the Move
I also use and recommend this plug-in. Gives me a peek into my readers worlds as well. Sometimes I don’t have time to read everyone’s blog, but this way I can see their last post and those who read comments on my blog can see it as well — a mini feed reader if you will!
Good luck — love the wacky things you’ve found.

I’m interested in knowing more about the effect of this plugin on your PR. Did you notice increase or decrease in your PR after you implement this plugin or just more traffic and more comments?
Love to hear soon.

“the famous commentluv plugin”
lol, thanks for the link and recommendation. I never thought it would get so popular when I first made it but I see it on more and more blogs every day. I even had to turn comments off on the post because there were literally hundreds of pingbacks coming in every week and it caused the post page to be a mile long!
feel free to let me know if you can think of any improvements…
Andy Bailey’s last blog post..Spreading Coding luv
I really like this plugin but am concerned about the effect it may have on my googleability… i think if you are going for readers this plugin is great… if you want search traffic it’s not as good… as a compromise I have it on about 1/2 my blogs
Stock Trading Software’s last blog post..Using eSignal Trading Software
I have to say since I installed the CommentLuv plugin I have definitely seen an increase in my comments. Some are spammer comments but most are actually worthwhile to the discussion.
Well it seems that your CommentLuv doesn’t like my blog since it neglected to find my last post.
Of course if you show link love on your blog then some of the juice will flow to commenters, but even if you don’t it will help with other search engines as well
Stirlyn’s last blog post..Earn Money Writing Travel Articles
This plugin has really taken off by storm, I for one think it’s a really fantastic way to encourage more feedback from your readers & also feel like you’re givnig something back to them for commenting.
Have you seen much change in the amount of people commenting on your blog?
Stu’s last blog post..Comprehensive Car Insurance
I’ve just installed commentluv on all my blogs and am now just sitting back to wait for the sudden influx of comments
what I really love about it though is how you can browse other people’s last post and do a bit of blog hopping.
Sire’s last blog post..Looking For Sex In All The Wrong Places
Glad to see your giving link love to your readers. The do follow movement is a great one.
I think this is a great tool to encourage user participation by rewarding them for adding meaningful content to the blog. Blogging should be an interaction between the reader and writer. Increased comments on your blog has search benefits for the blog(ger) and commentluv gives a nice plug to the commenter. Seems like a nice match if it doesn’t become a spam magnet.
btw- love that image..perfect
People who read your comments will follow links to interesting articles that your commentors have made also
It’s great for finding new stuff to read.
Thanks for this post.

commentluv and keywordluv together with dofollow made my blog no. 1 in my keyword. i was getting over 15k daily UV and my adsense shot through the roof. I’ll recommend everyone to install them both,
Interesting!
CommentLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

My own blog at Karlonia.com does not yet have the CommentLuv plugin but it is DoFollow for comments. I just discovered the KeywordLuv plugin (great idea!) earlier today, but sadly my theme seems to be incompatible. This probably doesn’t matter much, however; people seem to be doing a good enough job of putting their keywords in the name field anyway :)

I’m only new to blogging so I don’t know much about this plugin yet. I have looked at the options and there seem to be quite a few on the market. I’d love to know which is best in the eyes of bloggers>
Actually there is a new updated version of commentluv that will enable you to pick from the last ten posts
Glad to see your giving link love to your readers. The do follow movement is a great one.
MONICAs last blog post..When you can’t get into debt
Thanks for the explanation
I have this installed, but I can’t get it to line up with comment form. Would you be able to help me out?
Well it should be show up automatically with your comments. If it doesn’t, you should add the code by yourself in the comment.php in your theme folder. I don’t know exactly where, but put it before the code of the comment form. If you need help, you should go ask the creator of the plugin or google it. I’m sure I saw that question resolved in some blog.
The commentluv is simply superb and a welcome addition to the wordpress blog, known for its ease of use :)
It is great to see the “dofollow” movement gathering pace. If Goog had not integrated the PR indicator on their toolbar, then “no follow” would probably never seen the light of day!
keep up the good work!
Im new blogger from Malaysia.. the commentluv is interesting, thansk for sharing hehe =)
Hey there great looking site and it’s good to see some great feedback on the commentluv plugin as it’s a wonderful thing to have on your site and a great thing to use in order to try and get some decent back links. I’ve also got the top commentator and keyword luv on a few of my sites and it definitely helps vary the content up a bit as well as offers a decent user experience.
What a great pluggin! Thank you so much for sharing. Love, love, love the art on your site as well.
I use keywordluv, Commentluv, and sport a Do-follow plugin. I feel it’s a good trade-off for the interaction!
Thanks for the post, i enjoyed reading it. blogging is not as easy as many think it is, it’s hardwork. any how thanks.
