Wordpress Plugin: CommentLuv

January 18, 2008 – 7:23 am | Written by KiwiPulse

I have recently added the famous CommentLuv plugin. Do you remember my post about using your Creativity To Promote Your Blog. Well, this plugin will help you to promote your latest post if you made comments on other blogs that are using this plugin.

By installing this plugin, you will encourage your readers to join the discussion and you will give them something back right away. The plugin will look at your default location of your RSS feed to find the latest post. You will generate more backlinks from other blogs and increase your Google PR Rank on the next Google dance!

I hope that by implementing this plugin that it will help you generate more comments on your articles. If you have installed this plugin on your blog, I would be glad to be to first to comment!

Here is the link for the download: CommentLuv’s author page. Try it out now by posting a Comment using the link or form below. :D

I love the commentluv plugin too! It is a fun way to surf around the web. You get to read a interesting post, then click on another interesting post right on the same page.

hi kiwipulse,

you’re right. since using the plugin for less than a month, the comments in my blog increased four fold. it will really encourage readers to leave behind comments and participate in the discussion. it’s a win-win situation for both the blog owner and the readers since the benefits are two-way.

i’ll be very pleased to hear from you in two weeks or so if this plugin will do the same for your blog. take care!

As I don’t use wordpress, the plug in is not for me, but I pass on the juice when people visit my sites and comment.

If you visit me and have enough courage to place a relevant comment of course the link will be loved by Google et al. It is only fair.

Stop spammers, not Bloggers.

I can also add to the value of the plugin. Many new commenters have been seen on my site since installing the CommentLuv plugin a few weeks ago.

I also use and recommend this plug-in. Gives me a peek into my readers worlds as well. Sometimes I don’t have time to read everyone’s blog, but this way I can see their last post and those who read comments on my blog can see it as well — a mini feed reader if you will!

Good luck — love the wacky things you’ve found.

Use center and /center code with the < and >
Example: < center>Your Code Here< /center> without the space.

Thanks for sharing your opinion about CommentLuv. I’m surfing the world to find some more testermonial about it.

I’m interested in knowing more about the effect of this plugin on your PR. Did you notice increase or decrease in your PR after you implement this plugin or just more traffic and more comments?

Love to hear soon.

Binh

“the famous commentluv plugin”
lol, thanks for the link and recommendation. I never thought it would get so popular when I first made it but I see it on more and more blogs every day. I even had to turn comments off on the post because there were literally hundreds of pingbacks coming in every week and it caused the post page to be a mile long!

feel free to let me know if you can think of any improvements…

I really like this plugin but am concerned about the effect it may have on my googleability… i think if you are going for readers this plugin is great… if you want search traffic it’s not as good… as a compromise I have it on about 1/2 my blogs

Well it seems that your CommentLuv doesn’t like my blog since it neglected to find my last post.

Of course if you show link love on your blog then some of the juice will flow to commenters, but even if you don’t it will help with other search engines as well

This plugin has really taken off by storm, I for one think it’s a really fantastic way to encourage more feedback from your readers & also feel like you’re givnig something back to them for commenting.

Have you seen much change in the amount of people commenting on your blog?

I think this is a great tool to encourage user participation by rewarding them for adding meaningful content to the blog. Blogging should be an interaction between the reader and writer. Increased comments on your blog has search benefits for the blog(ger) and commentluv gives a nice plug to the commenter. Seems like a nice match if it doesn’t become a spam magnet.

btw- love that image..perfect
